This week Lovebunny and I have celebrated two milestones. On July 15th, we celebrated 13 years together and today, July 20th, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. How did we show each other how much we mean to each other? Well, I found his Nonno's 1940's watch from Italy in a drawer so I had that rebuilt for him.
And his symbol of love for me?
"It even has a bikini trimmer!", he said eagerly as I opened it. Geez thanks babe. Nothing says I love you like hair removal products!
We spent our weekend of love in Niagara Falls (where else would you go for a weekend of lovin'?!). We stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview across from the Canadian Falls. We had a fabulous time and no, Davey didn't join us. He did, however, have a lovely platter of eats waiting in our room for us when we arrived.
The room was pretty nice...
...but the views from our window were fantastic!
We had our anniversary dinner at Mama Mia's. If you are ever in Niagara, I highly recommend you eat there. Yum-O!
The next day we had planned to go on the Maid of the Mist. Sadly (thankfully!), the lines were 3 to 4 hours long so we passed. We instead went to see the Imax movie "Niagara: Miracles, Myths and Magic". In my opinion, it was a waste of an hour. However, when we were leaving, above the parking lot of the theater, Jay Cochrane, The Prince of Air, was performing. AKA, crazy man on a tightrope, walking high above the skyscrapers. He made the trip to the Imax worth our while.
All in all, our weekend of lovin' went pretty well. We drank and ate too much, saw the sights, and got to be a couple again for a few days. And you know, even with the bikini trimmer, I think I'll keep him.
